What Is a Mechanical Keyboard Switch? A mechanical switch is an individual mechanism placed under each key of a keyboard. Unlike membrane keyboards, where keys rely on a rubber dome sheet, mechanical switches use physical components such as springs, stems, and metal contacts to register keystrokes. Just a quick update as we approach the holidays this year to put our schedule online.  We cherish spending time with our friends and families. We will be closed the following dates for the holidays: Thanksgiving:Closed Wednesday, Nov 26th through Monday, Dec 1st for Thanksgiving Christmas & New Years:Closed Wednesday, December 20th and will reopen on January 5, 2026. Any custom builds that fall within that time frame will either be shipped immediately before we close, or immediately after we reopen. Early in 2025, the US Government issued a series of actions and imposed new tariffs on almost all countries. In addition, they removed the "de minimus" exemption meaning that ALL items from these countries will be taxed, whether they are $1 or $10,000. This action has created a shipping backlog with US Customs that is unprecedented.
