When will my order be shipped?
All orders placed M-F before 3pm CST are shipped the same day. Orders placed before 2pm on Saturday will ship that day. Anything outside of those times will fall to the next business day.
How long will I have to wait for my order?
We do not do pre-orders or group buys at Upgrade Keyboards. If it shows in stock on the site, it means the item you are looking at is here and ready to ship.
There may be slight delays for services such as custom builds, cerakote, etc - but we can give you an exact timeframe before paying for your order - just reach out and ask.
I see a particular switch or keycap set in the custom builder, but can't find it in parts?
Some items are reserved only for custom builds. This may be due to their exclusivity contracts, price, or other reasons. We wish we could offer every part to every person that was looking for it - but we are unable to at times with some manufacturers.
Can I send you my keyboard to make better instead of buying a new one?
Absolutely! We offer full upgrade service, whether you bought it from us, or a local retailer. As long as it is mechanical - we can make it better!
I saw a video online that I want my keyboard to sound like. Can you do it?
We can typically tell from experience what sound you are after based on the parts chosen... your switches, the type of board and mounting system, the plate material, etc. So those videos can help us understand your goal a bit better.
However - not all "sound tests" are created equally. Often times, a lot of post production work, sound filtering, etc goes into some creators videos and it can create an unrealistic idea of what your keyboard might sound like in real life.
Also - absolutely everything can affect the tone - from the thickness of your desk mat, to the actual material your desk is made out of.
Can you lube my switches?
Unfortunately, to limit the backlog we have, we have to restrict our lubing services only to switches that are sold here. We have made exceptions to this rule from time to time on very specialized setup (vintage switches, etc) - but at this time, we do not offer that service.
I bought the wrong part. Can I return it?
Yes - we offer a 30 day return window as long as the item is new and unused. Certain items are inelligible for return however (switches, lubes, etc). You can view our return policy here: https://upgradekeyboards.com/policies/refund-policy
Will you be offering __________ product?
Possibly! We try to keep everything in stock, but the sheer number of options, combinations, and new products that come out daily make that tough. If there is something you would like to see us stock, feel free to send us a note and let us know!
I am in the Houston area - can I pick up my order?
Absolutely! We offer same day pickup for any order placed before 3pm. You will need to place your order online - and you will get an email with instructions, and requesting a day you would like to pick up your order.
I drove out to your address but can't find you
We do not have a storefront - yet. We meet our customers at 5pm M-F to pick up orders or drop off their keyboards for service.
